What Makes Us, Us

DNA is that stuff that makes you, you and us, us. It's the genetic programming code that leads to personality, behavior, and so much. We think that churches also have a sort of DNA. The "genetic code" of the underground is influenced by our story, our beliefs, our values, our community.

The underground is living life and allowing the natural occurrence of events which happen on this journey to make a difference. the core of our DNA is a purposeful and intentional attempt at making 3 connections. Connecting with God, connecting with others, connecting others with God. To be connected means that you live in harmony with the other, rather than in conflict.

Face it; most of our relationships in this world are marked by conflict rather than connection. This one church might not connect all the people of the world to God and to each other, but we might just help you make some connections. That's our DNA

What We Think

The easiest thing for most folks to focus on with a church like the underground is our style, how we do what we do and how different we are from other styles. But style is not really all that important, is it?  You might come to the underground because you like our style [the way we do things], but you'll hang around and get connected because of relationships.  In that, we desire that you know what we “believe,” Why we do what we do.
